Our mission is to eliminate the intergenerational cycle of poverty in Israel. We provide a host of programs and resources that empower children and their families to become contributing members of society. Post October 7th, our trauma counseling programs have grown to become an integral part of all of our programs, while we continue to care for and support Holocaust Survivors.

This music and arts-based enrichment program helps at-risk children to develop and thrive both emotionally and academically.

The Food Distribution Project targets the widespread hunger found in Jaffa and South Tel Aviv in Israel and focusses on providing food to those in need year-round and during major Jewish holidays.

The Moadon is an after-school program, provided from 6-9pm three days per week to 18 at-risk boys aged 13-16, who reside in Tel-Aviv.

From 2018 to 2019, The Jaffa Institute’s budget has increased by 6%.

Poverty

In Israel, 25% of the population lives below the poverty line. The Jaffa Institute is addressing this challenge in South Tel Aviv/Jaffa and the surrounding areas. The Jaffa Institute keeps its overheads low. Its administrative operating costs never exceed 10% of its total budget. Municipalities in its catchment area and other Israeli donors account for 50% of its budget.
